When im sitting down with my girl friend and kissing i get hard. Is this normal? or am i not suppose to get hard just from that?

Okay well my problem is that i get random erections out of no where a lot. I usually get like 3 a day and its at weird moments when im not thinking of sex or anything. For instance i'd be doing my work in school then all of a sudden i get an erection and this is very iritating. Can someone tell me why am i getting this so much and how i can make them stop?
