CtinaDitty
Has anyone here had a lateral meniscus tear? Or a tear that didn't show up on your MRI? Link to comment
CtinaDitty
I have all the symptoms of a meniscus tear, but on my MRI, it was negative. Apparently lateral meniscus tears are a lot harder to get to show up on MRI's... So, idk, what's going on. Link to comment
iamteddybearfeelmecuddle
huh....my bro recently underwent a bunch of those tests but I don't know what you mean I'm not up on my A&P. Link to comment
coollady1957
My daughter had this before. She had injured he knee during softball playing at school years ago. She went and had the MRI done and it showed nothing. She was put in a knee brace and given meds, however the problem did not resolve. Went back and had another MRI and they said it was questionable on the tear,so they set up her for an exploratory and clean up job on the knee but once they got in there, sure enough was a torn miniscus. CtinaDitty
Thanks coollady1957, that was helpful. Yeah, I injured mine playing soccer last November. Link to comment
CtinaDitty
I was given a cortizone shot, and it worked for a while, but the next time I got taken out, the pain came STRAIGHT back and isn't leaving... It's in the meniscus area, it has the same symptoms, and... ugh... I just want to get this taken care of... Should I get another MRI and another opinion? I don't really like the doctor I'm going to... Link to comment
