NPSoccer5
If my girlfriend and I are taking a break, not that we want to be with other people, but more to make sure if this is what we really want....is our relationship doomed? There's the idea that if you are in love with someone you know it from the start and there should never be any doubts... So is this a bad thing that we're doing this? Link to comment
Boricua7
I don't think so. Some people just need time off to think. Your emotions can get the best of you sometimes. Link to comment
DN
How long is the break supposed to last? Link to comment
NPSoccer5
Well if one of us realizes this isn't what we want, then the break can be final...but i'm pretty sure i want to continue the relationship, she on the other hand isn't sure about her feelings... Link to comment
Hope75
How long have you been together? What sort of problems did the relationship have that led to this break? Whose idea was it? Link to comment
DN
You should put a time limit on it so that if she can't decide then you can move on instead of waiting around for ever. Link to comment
NPSoccer5
we were together for 10 months....there weren't any problems, more that she isn't sure if she just loves me or is in love with me. Link to comment
Hope75
Hmmm.... doesn't sound good. If a person doubts their feelings for you, generally it's because they are no longer there. As DN said, if you feel it may help to give it some time, make sure you have a reasonable agreed upon time frame so that you aren't left in the dust wondering if she'll come back. Link to comment
