yokohama_mama
Hmm... I've always thought that "whispering sweet nothings" was more of an expression to describe lover's talk, than something that most people actually do. I haven't done a lot of whispering, or been on the receiving end of much whispering, in my dating or married life. Occasionally I might whisper something during foreplay, maybe about something that I want to do to/with my partner, or how sexy he is. I don't think whispering is a requirement of romance, and certainly you should only do it if you feel comfortable and confident doing it--it could be interpreted as creepy if you choose the wrong moment, the wrong words, or the wrong girl to whisper to. As for what to say, well, you might try something like, "You're so beautiful", "I really want to kiss you", or something along those lines. Anything you say in a whisper will sound intimate and sexy (or creepy and off-putting, as outlined above.) The expression suggests that "sweet nothings" don't have to be deep and profound, just sweet and light. Good luck, girl-whisperer. Link to comment
