Borashi
My last day of employment with my old company was on Monday, have decided to take a few days off and reflect before I start my new job on the 29th. Any one have any good tips for getting mentally prepared for a new job? Its with a company I worked for in the past and we had a good relationship. I feel that you have to take risks to get where you want to be in your career, do you agree? There are always better job opportunities out there for those who are willing to take a chance, it's just a matter of finding the companies. After traveling extensively in my last job, I have gained a lot more ideas on where to gain employment if this job happens to not work out. Link to comment
darkblue
Good for you. I think you have the right mindstate for self improvment. I do agree that risks can pay off. Mental preparation - Relax and start afresh. Be confident. Hard working. Punctual. Good luck and keep us updated. Link to comment
rosstheboss
just take the couple of days easy and have a good rest so you are full of energy on your first day, it always gives a good impression. and yeah you can only get good jobs by taking risks but then risks are well risky Link to comment
Cadence308
Getting enough sleep so that you can be mentally alert and prepared is a must. I just started a new job and there was a lot of learning on the job initially and I found it essential to make sure that I got enough sleep so that I was refreshed every day. GL! Link to comment
