When I find myself between a rock and a hard place - I usually make a list of pros and cons of each decision. If that doesn't help, try to quiet your mind and listen to what your heart tells you. Whatever you decide - know that it was your choice and if it doesn't work out as planned, learn from it and move on.

Well that works for some people, myself included, but not everyone has that deep connection to their inner truth. If that's you, then you can benefit from some elementary exercises in thought management.

Let me give you some sage advice, I've been around long enough to know that the business of making other people happy is a bottomless pit. No person can take responsibility for another's happiness. Seriously.

It seems to me your instincts are telling you not to do whatever this is. Please follow them. In the end, it's the best choice for you - and you are the most important person!

btw - if this has to do with intimacy with someone - please, please, please follow what your instincts tell you. The other person will get over it and if they don't, they don't care for you the way you want them to.
