Merry Christmas wish appropriate or not?

I just want to ask if this looks appropriate?

 

I had an "almost boyfriend" which we did not had a relashionship for different reasons, but at the end decided to remain friends.

 

Some months have passes and we haven't talked since then.

Should I wish him for Christmas?

Or I will look stupid and like I need something from him now?

 

Cause I actually would like to come back with him but I guess it is not possible (long distance).

It's always nice to send warm holiday greetings, however to an almost ex? Maybe not. Depends how friendly you are. If you have not talked in a couple months and you still harbor some feelings it may just make you upset or lead your mind astray contacting him...
