Ex texted me

She had not talked to me in a few months since last time we saw each other before going back to college after Christmas break. She randomly texted me telling me to listen to a song that she thought I might like. I replied asking who it was because I no longer have her on my contact list and she replied with an attitude saying that I knew her phone number and not to pretend like I didn't. Then we text back and forth a couple times. She texted me paragraphs about how she no longer likes my type of music and so on, casual stuff. I think she texted me to check in and see if I still have feelings for her to boost her confidence. What do you guys think? Why do ex randomly do that to someone they hurt? She is the dumper if that is important in anyway.

Because they figure after a few months you should have forgotten about everything by then. Some also want to probe and check to see if they still have some power over you. Nothing but games.

Sounds to me like she was looking for an ego boost, hence why she had an attitude when you were unsure who's number it was.

Depends if you care or not. Ive never really cared about the game playing. I just try and be polite but uninterested as to not send the wrong message.
