need help talking to this guy

I have trouble talking to this guy I like. As long as one of my friends are there I'm fine talking to him but when we're alone I get nervous. Does anyone have any ideas on how to break the ice?

What works for me is to talk about what the person likes to do or is interested in.

 

For example, just the other day I met a woman and I notice she was reading a mystery novel. So, I asked her, "Do you like mysteries?" From there I asked, "Why mysteries and not love stories?"

 

As she talked I learned more about her and was able to find new areas to ask questions about. Was I nervous? Sure. But you get over it after the first minute or so.

as long as you are in control of your emotions, he wont notice your nervous.

 

talk about what he likes to do, his friends, school, (if your still in school) and whatever hes doing at the time. after he sees your interested in talking to you, he'll bring up more topics and it will be easier to talk to him.

Tell him how you feel, he might think the same back. If a girl told me how she felt I would feel flattered lol
