I have just started "The Road Back" by Eric Maria Remarque

To Gwened

Mine lust runs deep and yours but shallow

And at present this shall fallow

You hair so dark and skin so warm

Your smile and charms lighten my week

I know that nothing of this shall blossom

I watch the stately grace of your form

My want is strong but will is meek

And in your absence I am lonesome

I’d shift the sun and snare the moon

To bring you to my arms

As your love and touch would be a boon

Though try as I might you evade my charms.
