Hi, This is my first post but id really value peoples opinions on this matter. A few months ago a started becoming really good friends with this girl that i used to know about two years ago, but never really saw much. We started hanging around with the same people, and i was totally attracted to her. The trouble is that i slipt into the friendship category which is nigh on impossible to get out. We got on really well and i love her as a friend, but i always want it to be more. About a month and a half ago, she split up with her BF, there relationship was on the rocks for a while anyway. We became even closer, and spent loads of time togther, but i still wanted our relationship to be more. I was sick in being stuck in the situation that i was so i decided to hell her how i felt, she said that she just wanted to be friends, and i was actually supprised at how unbothered i was about rejection, usually i feel embarrassed. We carried on being friends, then about two weeks she started dropping hints that she liked me more than just friends (everyone else was picking up on this aswell). Everyone who we hang around with was saying that it was obvious she liked me more than mates, and i really thought she did to. Last weekend, things really hotted up, we went to a party and her ex boyfriend was there. Every one got a little drunk and she told me part way thru the night that she really fancied me. I was shocked but couldnt really make a move at that point. Later on she went to lay down. I had noticed that she hadnt said a word to her ex all night, but when she left the room to goto the bedroom her ex followed her in. They were only in there for a few mins when she text me saying how she wished i was there with her instead of him and it was also quite clear by her wording she wanted me there for more than just friendship , she also said that she didnt even like being in the same room as him. He left the party literally minutes after going in, so i went in to see her. I asked if anything had happened between them and she mumbled sumthing that i couldnt hear. I aksed that she repeat it but she wouldnt. Anyway i laid next to her and just fell asleep (Yay me ) We woke up in the morning and literally spent the whole day chillin in this bed wiv her, it was quite cool to be honest. At the end of the day we both went home and i didnt see her until that night when she came round. We spent the whole night talking but somehow we ended up falling asllep. Nothing happened and she went home in the morning. Later that afternoon i asked her via text message what she said when she mumbled the other night, she was reluctant to tell me first but she eventually went on to say that she said "The only way something will happen in here tonight is if its with u" I cant believe i didnt hear it, i literally kicked myself. I didnt see her for a few days but things seemed totally normal between us except i (and everyone who knew both of us) thought that we was deffo gonna get it togther. Even her mates were saying that they thought that! The next time i saw her we was having a drink with a couple of friends at her house. She asked me if i would stay after they had gone (something that she has not done before) I stayed, but we decided to goto my house. We got in, had a drink, but it was a little late so i decided i really should goto bed. She came to bed with me and i thought it was time to make my move. The thing was, she was laid on top of the covers and i was laid underneath them. I asked if she wanted to lay underneath em with me but she said no. At that point i thought it best that i not try anything, since she didnt seem to keen. We woke up and she left. I had some time to think, so i decided to send her a text message, laying my cards on the table. I told her how i felt and that if she wanted anyting to happen then she would have to make the move as i am confused about what she wants. She replied and said that she was sorry she was confusing me, but she just wanted to be friends. She came up with about 3 reasons as to why she wanted this, but they were all silly excuse's, stuff like "because of your ex gf" (who she hates, as her last bf slept with her behind her back!) I've also bin split from my ex for over 1 year, and wasnt with her when this happened, But this reason seemed V odd. I just replied and said that it was o.k and everything seemed to be normal again. Everything is still normal, but i am v confused. I cannot stop thinking about her, and trying to work out what these mixed singnals are all about. I cant even begin to work out her silly excuses. Basically i still have a feeling that something could happen, i know how much she enjoys my comapny as she tells me all the time, we are so close and have sheared thing with each other that we have never told anyone else. Infact we act practically much like we are going out EXCEPT we dont have sex. So i'm sat here thinking something can happen and wondering as to why she seems to have suddenly taken a U turn with her feelings. When i told our friends, most of them couldnt believe it. Obviously i want to be with her, but if i knew 100% for deffinate what she wants to do then i probably expect it, but i just sorta dont believe her. I know it sounds quite obvious what she wants since she told me, but i (along wiv everyone else) really really think we still have a chance to get together. Sorry for the massive long post (so i'll prob not get any replies ), but i'll wrap it up now. Basically i am just looking for people's thought / advice.
