Ok, so heres the deal. Me: Im a 18yr old senior in highschool thats going to be graduating in about 2 weeks. Her: 17yr old Cute Junior in high school who sits next to me in class. Neither of us drink or anything, same views on it etc. I thought she was cute from day one, I also find her to be a very nice, kind, caring, etc. Then there were a few weeks of casual in-class talking. I sleep in class a lot, but catch most things around me. What sort of things did I catch? Just as I'm awakening I hear her and her friends sitting next to her say "Just ask him to prom" to which she replied "he won't want to go", "just ask"... Then I raise my head and of course they cut off their conversation abruptly, sometimes with a "shhhhh". That happened a few times. Sometimes the girl in question would me awake jokingly. One day the friend of the girl wrote a note to me that the girl didn't want me to receive (I assume it was a clever ploy by the girl's friend to get the message to me while the girl thought it was a funny joke between the two of them). The note was given to my friend and then gave back to the friend of the girl who read it allowd it was something like "dearest YouTellMe i love you so much your eyes are beautifull..." bla bla bla that wasn't the important part as i knew that was a joke, thats the way she is. Anywho, I later received the note which said at the bottom "p.s. will you go with her to prom she's afraid to ask" I didn't take that too seriously since i was never really presurred for an answer and i thought it could also be a joke. So a few weeks passed and she went on a vacation and her friends came up to me and asked me if i would take her to prom, "shoe wanted us to ask you if you would take her to prom" "please take her" she wouldn't ask me herself... I accepted. So come prom day we were in a party of 4 couples including myself and the girl. We went out to eat first then off to the grand march and then the dance. At the dance I was talking to some of the boys in our party and she pulled me away for some dancing. As the night progressed I danced with her several times and some other girls from our party and then with her some more. At the last song as we danced she rested her head against me and I put mine on hers (which was really nice) and we danced. Afterwards we went to the friends house to watch movies till late. She fell asleep. After the movie she awoke and talked with me, her friend, and her friend's date and my friend for a while and then she left for home. Wow, now I like her more than before. And the horrid reality that I'll be graduating in roughly 2 weeks is setting in. I don't want to move on to the real world =( . In class there is still the small conversations and such. And... I don't know, I like being friends with her, and I don't wanna break that by asking her out and possibly... I don't know... scaring her off. But then my other fear is that if I don't do something I'll never see her much anymore cause I won't be in high school anymore. Also, after i graduate and go on to college I wont be leaving town, I will commute for my first couple of years to college before I go onto a different college to finish up, so that shoudn't be a much of a factor.
I could ask her out now and see whats up.
Or I could wait till all the craziness of graduation is gone and try somthing in the summer.
Or I could try to forget this and see what college brings.
Or I could wait a while and see if anything developes(mmmm procrastination)
Or ...something?
Wow that was long... What do you think I should do? When I look at it all written out, it seems like we're both a little(lot) shy. I don't know if all the secret shyness and auch was just because she wanted to go to prom or if she wanted to go to prom with me.I WISH I WAS IN HER HEAD ...then I would know what to do.
