He was downloading a program to my computer, and email register link was needed... He left the room, and then I proceded to notice a folder specifically for one girl in his mail settings. I know it was wrong, but the only excuse I can provide is to satisfy my curiosity in if I am wasting my time in life...

My boyfriend and I have been dating for a little over half a year... But it seems like much longer than that since 6 months we've been living together. He moved to the city I live in now from accross the country at the same time I moved from a different area of the county. We ended up meeting each other, and instantly falling in love. So here's where I am confused... The other day I was on his email because he has helping me with my computer, and I read an email from one of his "friends" he talks about all the time, and in it was spoken from both parties on how they love, have loved, and will continue to love each other forever...and how he will always have a "crush", and how that he misses her more than she can imagine. Not only that, but he had an entire folder of her emails and one containing a break-up of their relationship, and how the girl will do anything to get him back and "fix" everything....? I confronted him about it and how I saw the emails left open on my computer's desktop, because I am confused on why he would lie to me about a past relationship. So what did he do? Lied to my face about how he hasn't been in contact with her since he moved here, when the last email was dated sometime during the week. Is this just a friendly fling? I'm trying to put it out of my mind, but nothing has helped. I just keep thinking about how he keeps lying to my face, and is talking like that to another girl.
