Hey guys, I need a little help here. I liked this guy at the beginning of the year, and even instant messaged with him for a while over the holiday break. When the break was over, I was too embarrassed to speak to him (I was worried I annoyed him with my instant messaging). I basically ignored him and treated him like I could care less about him. But through it all, I still had a crush on him. Well, when spring came around, I tried out for a play, and so did he, and we both got parts. We have spent a lot of time together in the afternoons because of the play practice. At first, I ignored him still, so he wouldn't think I liked him. But one day, he thought my shirt was cool, and i smiled real brightly at him (his approval, yes! i thought). He stared at me for a few seconds and looked surprised. That same day, he started talking to me (not heart-to-heart conversations, but friendly chitchat). He would always say hi to me, and then initiate some sort of conversation. He always smiles at me when we talk, or at least looks interested, and makes eye contact. Whenver I talk to my fellow cast members, he tries to include himself in the conversation. He laughs at my jokes, and said that I made a face that amused him while we acted out a certain scene I try to make eye contact with him too, and smile when appropriate. He seems to give positive feedback whenever I smile. Anyway, enough about smiling. Another clue, is that when I presented my English Oral Presentation (he's in my class), I heard him laugh at all the jokes, etc (he wasn't the only one laughing...the class was too). My friend overheard him talking to his friend, and he said, "That was my favorite presentation". My friend who heard them said their conversation was hushed and jumbled together. In the hall, when I came out of the bathroom later that day, my crush's friend (the one who had talked with him in English class) said my name. I was so surprised to hear him talk to me; He is very proud of himself and only speaks to "cool" people. I was so shocked he spoke to me that I didn't respond. What do you think? He is a pretty friendly guy, so he could just want to be my friend. But he treats me differently than the other female cast member, he always treats her like "one of the guys", or atleast as just a friend. Also, he instant messaged me again after I got the nerve to i.m. him once we started talking in person at play practices. He used the smiley button a lot (is that a clue? or am I just dumb?) anyway, you could probably tell I am very curious. It would help if I got some advice from a guy's perspective, but anything will do. Thanks! Sorry for rambling
