Dear eNotAlone: I am a 33-year-old male, and for the entirety of my adult life I have had trouble with dating. Despite having an interesting job, a car and a place of my own, I still can't seem to find women who are interested in me. Even when I manage to get a date, the conversations don't really go anywhere and both parties end up feeling awkward and uncomfortable when the night is over. I've tried reaching out to female friends, family members and even professional matchmakers, but nothing seems to help. I'm feeling very discouraged and want to find someone who will be interested in me and not just my wallet. I need some advice on how to make myself more attractive and appealing to women.
