Painful cramping after sex

I have never had this happen to me before, but have heard it happens to many women. After sex the other night, I had severe cramping in my lower stomach. It went away after 25 minutes, but it was quite painful. Does anyone know what causes this?

Well you should definatly consult your doctor, because I'm not going to pretend that I know what I'm talking about. I heard if you don't urinate within 15 minutes after sex, then it could result in some sort of kidney damage. That could be it, but check with your doc just to be sure.

Well it never happened before and I have been with my bf for a year now. He is pretty big, so not sure if he was hitting some organs.

I used to get that all the time and it turned out i had a condition called endometriosis. I don't want to scare you or anything, but it can be serious and lead to infertility, so i would consult your doctor just to rule it out.

Yeah, my ex used to get cramping after we had sex. But I am not sure how intense, in comparison to yours, hers was. It was mostly after rough sex, or prolonged sex for her though....as I recall, but at the same time I seem to remember that it was pretty frequent. Maybe we just had a lot of rough sex..

 

But, in light of LBoogie's post, I would go to the doctor and just get it checked out.
