The lunula is the white crescent shape at the base of one's fingernails.

 

I was reading in a herbalism book that excessive wanking depletes blood serum albumin which leads to temporary shrinkage or disappearance of the lunula. Is there any truth in this?

I'm not sure myself...maybe the prostate extracts protein from blood to make prostatic fluid? But it's probably less than a gram or so per whizz, so yeah I don't see how it would do any harm.

I know that...lol. But 90% of semen is prostatic fluid, which is basically just water and protein.

Semen is made from blood. Protein, water and minerals are all drawn from the blood, directly or indirectly. I just don't know whether enough is drawn to make any dent in the bloods nutrient levels.

im actually [almost] a licensed nail technician, and i have never heard that before. i just recenty went to beauty school so everything is still fresh in my head. the lunulas definition is based on ones health; the better your health the more pronounced it will be.

i will ask my teacher about that though.
