...for someone else? Not meaning you planned it or not even meaning that you cheated. But, have you ever ended a relationship to start dating someone else?

I haven't but I dated a girl that ended a relationship to go out with me. She'd been going out with this guy for four years and after we hung out one night she broke up with him to go out with me. We ended up dating for three years but I must say that a relationship founded on a break-up is going to be problematic. Want to know how our relationship ended? She broke up with me to go back out with the guy she broke up with to go out with me. It sucked.

Yes, yes I have. The other person was the catalyst to end a relationship that was already dead.

 

I was young. I didn't have the courage to end things when they first were over. I woulnd't do that again, I hurt him more than I had to.

Yes. Although the relationships I left weren't totally dead, they weren't going anywhere long term. I don't feel proud of it, though.
