There are many who would long to be in your shoes and consider yourself very normal. Melrich is right often with this kind of love, the world seems to fade in to the background. It's not that you are blind to others around you, it's just that your love void is filled to the brim. When you're not hungry you don't notice the plethora of restaurants as you are driving accross town but when you are hungry, the golden arches are calling your name.

How come that he notices though?

Does that mean that he might be "hungry"?

Maybe he's hungry but would perfer a home cooked meal as opposed to fast food. He loves you and you have to understand that some guys just look to look and it ends there.
