Well last night i asked someone out and i got a response that sorta confused me. I asked her out then she said "idk i kinda want to stay single for now" then " i mean its not a no and its not a yes its a i need time". I think that it is just what she said. but what do you think do you think is leaning towards a yes or a no or is it just what she said?

Don't waste your time waiting. Every "Not at this moment" should be taken as a "NO." Move on, and date other people. If and when it is "time," she'll come to you (if that's even what she wanted). Just don't wait.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news mate but it means no, I've used that line plenty of times when I didn't want to hurt the guy's feelings.

I would advise you to move on and date other people.
