Should I ask

I like this girl at work I went to school with her but we never spoke. One night at work she talked to me and a few more times that week. I decided to ask if she was seeing anyone so i asked and she said yes. I told her if she broke up with him let me know she said ok but I think i might have shocked her. So I got to thinking about what I just did and was wondering if i should ask her if she wasnt seeing anyone if she would be interested in me at all. What should I do.

I don't think you should ask her that question as it's bound to make her feel uncomfortable. It's pretty obvious that if she was really interested in you she wouldn't be seeing another guy, so chances are she just likes you as a friend. Besides, she's shocked enough as it is by your last comment, don't make it any worse.
