  1. Hi. I'd better start with myself - I'm 21 years old and never had a girlfriend. I put this down to being SEVERELY shy - whenever a girl talks to me I blush and get nervous etc - you get the picture. Anyway, last Monday I started chatting to a girl on the net. She was visiting family (her parents) who live in the same town as me. She lives 200 miles away though, but is keen on moving to this town. On Tuesday, she asked if I wanted to go for a drink, so (after hours of deciding whether it would be a good idea) I said I would love to. So on Wednesday we went out to a few bars and played pool etc., and I found out I had a lot more in common with her than I was expecting. She is an amazing girl! I loved every minute being with her! I didn't say much though, which I blame on my shyness. When the night was over, she asked if I wanted to come back to her parents house, so I said OK and I stayed there overnight. On Thursday, she was heading home, so I sent her a message asking if she would like to go out again (when she is back in the area), and she phoned to say that she would love to (she is coming back here in a couple of weeks and is going to stay over for 2 weeks too). The problem is, I'm sure I'm getting depressed or something. I've gone off all my food, and generally feeling 'down in the dumps'. Is it normal when someone you like a lot leaves and you feel depressed? I know I only went out with her once, but she is the only girl I have talked to properly and I can't stop thinking about her. I've tried sending her a couple more messages (on my cellphone) but haven't had a reply yet. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to stop feeling so down? Thanks, Mr. Shy
