Well for me it is as simple as that i.e. if anything is not known to me to be done in the proper way then it is best avoided. Prior to my marriage I enquired about this from my more experienced friends and I derived to the conclusion that it is better to stay away from this. So at the present moment we are enjoying it the normal way.
