I have been a professional tattoo artist for 15 years and own my own business. My girlfriend wants me to stop tattooing on women any were like chest, hips, ECT. And to stop piercing women nipples. She say's that she is afraid that someone is going to catch my eye and I'm going to leave and that she can't stand to think about my hands being on other women. She is also very critical of her body because she is a very small woman. 5' 4" @ 100lbs. She says that by seeing other bodies that she in turn doesn't want me to see hers.
I try to explain to her that I love her very much and what I do is just a job. And it truly is!! I understand what she is saying and for the most part I have passed on most of these types of jobs to my employees, But there has been times when I was the only at work to take care of the customer or that the customer asked for me. So what should I do about her insecurities? Am I the one who needs to change what I'm doing because of her insecurities? And if I do am I just feeding into them? Or am I making them worst by continuing what I've been doing for the last 15 years.
