OK, this problem has kind of been bothering me for the last couple of days and I found this site a couple of months back and everyone seems to give really good advice, so I'll get your opinions.
I don't want to get really long-winded, so I'll try to keep this short and as simple as I can make it. Sorry if it gets too long.
Alright, here we go. I am a freshman in high school and I have a locker next to a guy who is a junior (actually we're on summer break now so I'm going to be a sophmore and he's gonna be a senior). Anyway, I never really paid much attention to him and we never really talked. Then one day out of the blue it dawned on me that I had a crush on him.
I began to notice that he looked at me a lot and when I saw him look at me he would look away really quick. And at lunch he would look at me too. I know people say not to rely too much on the "he looks at me a lot" thing, but I got the feeling that maybe he liked me a little bit, too. Then, one day I was walking to my locker and he and one of his friends were standing by his. He friend said, "Here she comes, Austin (that's his name)." And he turned around and looked at me for a second and blushed and turned back around. I was starting to think, "Maybe I should talk to him or something since he seems kinda quiet and shy," but I didn't.
Then, he and his friend ran for class president and vice (they won, too, btw!) and they were handing out stickers with their pictures on them while they were campaigning. I got my hands on one and stuck it on my agenda. One day, my older cousin who is a teacher at my school and this guy's football coach saw it. He kind of looked at me and I was like, "He is soooo hot!"
My cousin was like, "Well, I coach him in football and I know him really well, I'm gonna tell him you think that." I told him I didn't care because I didn't and I wanted Austin to know, anyway. I passed Austin later in the hall and he smiled at me for some reason even though he never had before, so I thought my cousin had told him. The next day I straight out asked him if my cousin told him and he kind of looked at me funny. So, I was like, "I think you're hot." He looked at me and smiled and blushed, so I was like, "I'm sorry." And he kind of laughed and was like, "It's OK."
Later he asked me about it and I told him the whole sticker story. Then I was like, "I thought my cousin told you but he didn't so now I feel like an idiot." And he was like, "Oh it happens, don't worry about it."
Ever since then, he smiled at me whenever we walked past each other in the hall. One day he was walking and I was walking towards him and he were about to turn the corner and he looked at me and smiled and turned and started walking towards me and I just smiled at him and kept walking. My friends all say they think he likes me back, but I'm still not too sure. I think he may because he smiles at me and he's nice but I'm not sure if he's doing that because he likes me or if it's because he's just being a nice guy. There's a lot of small, stupid stuff I left out of this because it's already long enough, but what do you guys think?
