If you and your partner are both sure that it is what you want then I say go for it.

But if one of you has the tiniest doubt, please really think about this. It is a huge step, and one you will remember for the rest of your life. Sex is a really beautiful thing, and plenty of practice makes it a wonderful thing, but only practice with someone you care and love about.
