What are some good examples of fun, unique date ideas, aside from the cliched dinner and a movie?

picnic at a park or by a river....at night...then looking up at the sky and just talking

I like the picnic at the park idea. My boyfriend did that.

I like the picnic idea. Also, cooking dinner together is fun and romantic.

You could go wine tasting or take a tour of a brewery or a distillery if you have either of those.

 

Also, when I was in Scotland a few years ago, I was in this little town called Loch Lomonde, and they organized midnight cruises on the Loch. Very romantic ( I was single at the time ) If your city offers anything like that, you could take her on one.

 

If you both like art, you could go to a museum.

NO MOVIES!

No movies for first dates! You can't talk or flirt or learn about the person, you have to sit in silence and let the movie entertain your date. It's not a good choice. You need something that will allow you to have fun by flirting, teasing, etc.

to make the underlined fun and promise a promised follow up, make a bet that whoever loses has to make dinner for the other and the winner brings wine. just don't make yourself look like you've got a gambling problem though, just dinner.
