Heretic
Hey goincrazy, Translate? Sure thing... that one's easy and you're damn lucky if they said it to you. It says "If love was but a water drop, the ocean is what I feel for you." How romantic P.S. I should add that's not a DIRECT translation but that is what they mean to say. Link to comment
Goincrazy
My gf can speak french and sometimes she says stuff to me in french cause I can't understand, she thinks it's funny lol. Goincrazy
If someone has a few minutes, could you please write this poem in French. I would so greatly appreciate it!!! Nothing Compares To You There are NO words Strong enough to express What I feel for you. There are NO songs As beautiful as the music That fills my soul When I hear your voice. There are NO roses As lovely as the true beauty I see when you smile. There are NO days As bright as the days I spend with you. There is NOTHING In this world that compares to you Link to comment
Heretic
You owe me Rien Ne compare À Vous. Il n'y a AUCUN mot (there's not a word) Assez fort pour exprimer ce qui me sens je pour vous Il n'y a AUCUNE chanson (there's not a song) Aussi beau que la musique Ce suffisances mon âme Quand j'entends votre voix. Il n'y a AUCUNE rose (there's not a rose... I think you're seeing the pattern) Aussi beau que la beauté vraie Je vois quand vous souriez. Il n'y a AUCUN jour Aussi lumineux que les jours Je dépense avec vous. Il n'y a RIEN En ce monde qui compare à vous. It's the best I could do to keep it word for word. It's a great poem. I hope she appreciates the effort. Link to comment

SpIcEz
Im sorry if this is too late or what not. In any case it might give you additional insight into the language in the future. I believe this is almost as word for word, but less impersonal and also convey's the feelings better. ------------------ Rien ne se compare a toi Il n'y a pas de mots Asser fort pour exprimer Ce que je ressent pour toi Il n'y a aucune chanson Aussi belle que la music Qui remplis mon âmes Lorsque j'entend ta voix Il n'y a pas une rose Aussi jolie que la beauté Que je vois lorsque tu souris Ya aucune journée Aussi brilliante que celles passer avec toi Il n'y a RIEN Dans ce monde Qui se compare a toi ------------------------- The difference between VOUS and TOI, is you use VOUS when talking to someone out of respect, but not loving respect, more like business relation or respect for your elders, or again respect for someone you arent close to or familiar with, like your loved ones parents TOI, without being vulgar or out of place, expresses much more the feeling your trying to convey, and makes it seem your talking directly to someone in particular because VOUS can also mean a group of people. hope this helps Link to comment
CitySlickerinUK
if the love is a water drop, what I feel for you is the ocean. That is the translation given by my french dictionary. Hope this helps! Link to comment

sunnebunne
I also need some help with a french sentence. If you can help that would be great! Quand je regarde dans tes yeux, c'est comme voir pour la premiere fois la pleine lune qui reflete sur l'ocean comme une infinite de petites etoiles filantes. I know what some parts mean but i can't get the whole sentence. Thanks! Link to comment
