I should add that's not a DIRECT translation but that is what they mean to say.

My gf can speak french and sometimes she says stuff to me in french cause I can't understand, she thinks it's funny lol. Anyway she wrote that in an email - thanks for your help. Three minutes....that was pretty darn quick I must say.

In any case it might give you additional insight into the language in the future.

 

I believe this is almost as word for word, but less impersonal

and also convey's the feelings better.

The difference between VOUS and TOI, is you use VOUS

when talking to someone out of respect, but not loving respect,

more like business relation or respect for your elders, or again

respect for someone you arent close to or familiar with, like

your loved ones parents

 

TOI, without being vulgar or out of place, expresses much more

the feeling your trying to convey, and makes it seem your talking

directly to someone in particular because VOUS can also mean a group

of people.

I know what some parts mean but i can't get the whole sentence.
