Should I talk to her?

I have stubbled apon the screenname of a gril that I really liked in Highschool and still do right now. I had her s/n back in HS and I talked to her briefly online and in school, but mainly about school things but one day she never logged back on so I figured she got a new one. The main reason that I don't know if I should msg her is what if she got this new s/n to avoid me? Also how should I approach the conversation it would saound awfully weird. What do you all think?

I doubt she got a new screen name just to avoid you... if she wanted to do that all she would have to do is block you. Just talk to her, you don't really have anything to lose.
