  1. When one of my neighbours sneezes it sounds like she’s screaming, and she’ll usually sneeze four or five times in a row.

It’s times like these I wish I had a mega-phone to say “bless you”. But then again, I’d probably be encouraging them if I did this and sneezing neighbours would probably triple or quadruple in size. Lol

  2. Ha! Me too. Especially when they are my age or younger.

Yeah, it seems to have a bit of a condescending tone to it, right?

There's always an exception, and I know I've been referred to as "sweetie", etc. by some nice people (I don't know personally). But, I still stop and take notice.

There's a woman who works at a grocery store nearby and she calls everyone waiting in line 'dear', 'hun', 'honey', 'sweetie', or 'sweetheart'.

She's nice, but kinda bossy at the same time. She'll be working at a register, but she'll tell people to go and stand in another line, but it doesn't sound as harsh because she says, "Hey sweetie, can you please go to that register instead. Thanks, hun". I guess it just softens the blow of her telling people to go somewhere else. Lol. Kinda funny.

Any time a guy I don't know calls me any of these names it's a huge red flag, too. Talk about cringeworthy. It just says so much about their personality and obviously not in a good way (at least, in terms of my experience).

  3. Lack of manners. Just wondering why some people can’t say a simple thank you if someone holds the door for them, or please or thank you to waitstaff? I actually do a double take whenever I hear these words now (think to myself, ‘yay, they have manners!’); which just goes to show how infrequently it seems they’re used.

  4. I second that! And some days it is just people in general... sometimes I just don't like the human race.

I actually know quite a few people who feel this way. What's interesting is, most people I know who feel this way are very well liked by most, which is ironic (and they're some of the kindest people I know!).

I promised myself never to become cynical though (although it's hard at times).

And my dislike for these types (i.e. - egoists, egotists, self-righteous people) isn't so much an annoyance just today as it is a pet-peeve in general. Actually, I think I'm allergic.

    But, whatevs...

  5. I hate hate hate the news. It is traumatizing. I hear some news stories and I can get flash backs of images sometimes for a few months. I effin hate news.

I can relate to this, so much. I can't stand the news. I've always felt this way, but my detestation for it seems to be growing with time. It's full of negativity, inflated egos and visuals that I'd rather not see or hear about.

I'm finding that I'm beginning to detest social media as well. I was one of the last people in my social circle (and that I knew of) to join FB. I guess it was never really my cup of tea, but I liked the idea of maintaining contact with friends other than via text messaging. But I've noticed that social media outlets (not just FB) have become so self-absorbed that I'm finding myself avoiding it altogether. I honestly have to take breaks from it. :S

  6. Or the clip I posted above that!

Yup. But I was joking with Wiseman by saying that he might be able to find a lot of terms (not just regifting or degifting) he’s questioning in the Seinfeld Dictionary (as opposed to the Urban Dictionary).
