can you help me out here?

My friends and I see this really hot girl. They ask me (right in front of her) if I like her. I say that shes not my type. She flirts with me, even though she has a boyfriend (at least thats what I heard her saying to her friends) The next day, I go over and talk to her. She acts as if she doesnt want to be near me, and as soon as she gets a chance, she walks away. I think I blew it somewhere. I wonder where I messed up...
