About the girl
Well lets start from the beginning. This girl and I both go to the same highschool. She has way more guy friends than girl friends. She told me she knows whats up when it comes to guys she can only be friends with, and guys that are the relationship type. She said she isn't shy, but I swear she is.
Situation
Here's the deal. This girl back in 8th grade had a crush on me, and I never knew it. Now 5 years have passed. We are both seniors now. A friend of hers, told her I was very attracted to her which is how we started talking.
We initally started to get to know eachother through AOL messenger (even though we knew OF eachother for the last 6 years, we never talked). At first all we did was talk and find out that we had a ton in common. Then during the first few weeks in english class we always made faces to eachother and kind of giggled from accross the room. It was pretty cool.
Okay so about 3 weeks have passed and I start sitting right next to her everyday. At night our AIM conversations are so long and filled with different type of small talk and laughs its crazy. But in class we're so quiet.
One night (about a month after we first started talking), I told her that I was attracted to her even though she knew it the whole time. She said it was really adorable that I tried to switch my classes around to be with her (which I did) and that it was cute that I was trying to sit by her for weeks. After I told her that I liked her she gave me a responce, "well for the past few weeks I've developed a crush on you myself". I was like wow thats awesome!!!
Questions running through my head
So basically after that "confirmed crush" thing happened we've sat next to eachother in class. Every once in a while we have little small talk coversations and stuff. But the problem is she talks to her guy friends that she told me, will "FOREVER BE FRIENDS". I'm not really bothered with that because it is true but I have the problem of like... she ignores me. But its so weird because she said she liked me. See how confusing it is? She even uses a different tone of voice to talk to me and everything. Its like I'm a friend but from past experiences seeing her, every friend she has she talks A LOT TO. So does this mean I could be more than a friend since we seem to have something for eachother but she is like too shy to progress with me? If you can see where I'm going at. It's like SO hard. I walk in the halls with a good buddy of mine and when I see her and we pass by, she acts like I'm invisable or I don't exist. Yet when I'm alone walking in the halls I get a big smile and like a "hey whats up" sort of deal. When we get in english class with a few of her good guy friends shes so quiet with me. It's like confusing the heck out of me. Does she like me and she feels too shy to talk to me around my friends or her friends?(cause on AIM we are alone) Do I have to get her alone? If someone could please understand where I'm comnig from and help me get an explaination of what I should do next, it would be greatly appreciated. Any ideas or tips would be great!
