why are women so confussing one meeting they like you the next minute they wont talk to you and then when you dont call thay think your mad at them. How can you tell when they love you

I have known this girl for years and it has only been this l;ast year that i relized how much i care about her. She drives me crazy when hang out all the time and she tells me she only wants to be friends but it feels like she wants more and so scared of loosing her as a friend i dont know what to do. She knows how i feel about her and she tells me tonight she has be thinking alot about us i dont know what to do. I just i wish i knew what to do
