I girl gave me a telephone number and agreed to go for a coffee with me. This was a girl I was seeing couple of times a month. We always said hi to each other and smiled. When she gave me a number and agreed for a coffee, she was also smiling, and I didn't sense any doubt.
Few days later I wrote her, and with a few days delay, she finally wrote me back something along these lines. "That I surprised her with stepping up to her, that she appreciates this and the courage it took. But that she was confused in the moment when she promised me the coffee and gave me telephone number, that she has a boyfriend and its not appropriate to go for a coffee with me. That she's sorry if she gave me any kind of wrong signals. That I seem very pleasant to be around, and since we see each other more frequently, she likes to greet that kind of people. She said one more time, that what I did, takes a lot of guts, and that you never knew in witch direction might have whole thing turned, if she wasn't in relationship. She hopes I'm not angry with her, and that we will still greet when we see each other.
To which I responded, that of course there is no resentment, and that we will normally greet when we see each other.
Of course I have no resentments, and will act as usual when I see her. I always felt that there was some kind of chemistry between us, and I believe she sensed that also. It was friendly greetings yes, but always with both of us smiling at each other, and sometimes looking over the shoulder back to one another.
I don't doubt that she is telling the truth, so I will go on my own way. But I still think she is into me, at least a little bit, and what I'm asking is, can this be also noticed from her message?
