I wouldn’t bother going out with him again . That is intensely rude for him to ask you to stay and boot you out. This is a non starter. He can go be busy alone .

My mom way back years ago totally refused to move into the home of her bf with his kids because it made the playing field totally unfair. They bought a new house together and got married. All of us older kids were gone , just my step sister was home for another 4 years. Then it was THEIR house not HIS house.
