I was on the phone to my boyfriend and he was talking about something from his work. I didn't know he was being serious and laughed and made a joke to him about it. He then hung up on me and put his phone on flight mode so I had no way of communicating with him. I called multiple times and he wouldn't pick up, he was ignoring my calls. I understand I may have hurt him by not taking what he said seriously, but it was an honest mistake and I thought he was joking. He knows this causes me anxiety and it feels like he is purposely trying to hurt me because of it. He has done this before and I have told him if he needed some space just to communicate and say 'I want some space, talk later' or something like that. I don't know if this is normal in guys, but it is frustrating and hurts me that he won't communicate.
