I'm not a man.. but.. if this is new to you it will take some time. When I was younger and first started masturbating.. it really didn't do anything for me. It took him time to figure out what felt good and what gave a reaction.
You need to just feel comfortable.. find something to think about that you get excited over and dont beat up yourself if it doesn't work how you want it too at first. You might need to try it in the shower or w/ a lotion or lube. Its normal to masturbate... just dont feel bad if it doesn't work out right away.
