tell her you will do anything even get help from a doctor anything it takes to get her back. This shows you really do love her and will do anything to make it work. Try and make her understand you dont mean to be a jealous guy you just cant imagine losing her or her getting hurt.

I personally think you should let him know your interested in him in more than just a friend. Let him know you arent wanting to take up all his time or become really serious right away. by the way things seem it looks like you guys are on the same level. You will never know if you dont ask so I say go for it.
