    Top 10 Most Romantic Perfumes

    By Margarita Nahapetyan

To smell romantic, you need to know, in the first place, what romantic smells like. Fragrances that are romantic and sensual, and at the same time retain originality and simply smell fabulous, are very hard to find, especially at present time when the market offers innumerous varieties of perfumes for sale. Every person has his/her own preferences as far as perfumes are concerned. However, various cosmetic companies and a panel of experts have come to a unanimous decision about the top 10 romantic scents of the world. Here they are:

L'air du Temps for women was created by Nina Ricci back in 1948. This perfume's nature carries the top notes of rosewood, neroli and peach that are blended with notes of ylang-ylang, vetiver and cedar. It is as famous for its Lalique bottle as it is its scent. Translated from French, the name means "the mood of the moment" and is described by many as "feminine" and "ageless".

Vera Wang Flower Princess. This lovely perfume is as fresh as the designer's other scents and is inspired by the original "Princess" fragrance by Vera Wang. The warm essence of flowers is captured delightfully well. The fragrance explores essences of green ivy, orange flower petals, tangerine, water lily, apricot skin, amber, and Moroccan rose. The final notes are woods, Riviera mimosa, and musk. The scent is sweet and shows off the spirit of women who are lighthearted, but very feminine and romantic at the same time.

Beautiful Perfume was created by the design house of Estée Lauder in 1985. This fragrance is classified as sharp and flowery. Its feminine scent carries a bouquet of blooming fresh cut flowers, rose, jasmine, and carnation. It is finished with fruity notes of fresh citrus, melons, peaches and plums.

Givenchy's Very Irresistible. The rose is pretty much the most romantic symbol we have, and this fragrance has five different rose scents. The top notes include Centifolia Rose, Peony Rose, Fantasia Rose, Passion Rose, Emotion Rose, Verbena Leaf, and Star Anise. Seductive but elegant, the vanilla, peonies, Verbena Leaf, and many kinds of roses gather together in a vibrant and captivating fragrance by Givenchy.

Tresor perfume was created and launched by Lancôme in 1990. It is classified as a sharp, oriental, floral fragrance. This feminine and elegant scent carries a blend of lilac and apricot, with finishing notes of amber and musk.

Lovely Sarah Jessica Parker. The fragrance is called "Lovely" because it is lovely indeed. Sarah Jessica Parker's scent possesses notes of mandarin, rosewood, lavender, bergamot and apple martini. A brilliant choice anywhere, at any time.

Victoria's Secret Heavenly Kiss. The scent is floral, fruity, and sweet without being overly so and at the same time very sexy and romantic. The main notes are toffee and marshmallow which are blended with freesia petals, guava, jasmine, vanilla, and musk. They are topped off with vibrant red berries. Though inspired by Dream Angels Heavenly, Heavenly Kiss is a unique and succulent fragrance on its own.

Cashmere Mist by Donna Karan. This fragrance is not very well known yet, but is a star in its own right. It is creative and unique, and what is more important, it leaves you feeling very comfortable and relaxed. The top notes carry a seductive twist from the ylang-ylang, sandalwood, cedarwood, musk, vanilla, and warm amber. The fragrance also includes finishing suede notes and Lily of the Valley that add to the allure. This ultimately feminine scent is perfect for anyone who is truly sensual and fresh.

Perfume is a very difficult item to review as it smells different on different people. No matter how much you read about it and hear from other people, there is nothing that can replace trying it for yourself and seeing if you like it. If you want to be absolutely sure don't hesitate and go to have a test spray at your nearest perfume shop!
