broke up, no contact, friends, now what?

i'm friends with my ex now after she broke up with me 8 months ago. we've been talking once or twice a week for the past few weeks and our conversations always go well. we never talk about relationships either one of us may or may not be in. we talk about whatever, it's never forced and we always both laugh.

 

i'm curious if she's in a committed relationship or serious with anyone, but i'm hesitant on bringing it up with her. if a girl's into a guy/boyfriend, wouldn't she talk about him? or does she not talk about that with her ex? she never talks about anyone like that with me so i don't know. i don't want to blow how things are going between us right now. besides we're always too busy talking about other things for it to come up. but i'm still curious. do i ask her if she's in a relationship or not? if so, is there an appropriate or subtle way to ask?

I dont think that you should inquire on your ex's current relationships, its just not a good idea.

yeah.. she might have something she might not. She most likely won't bring it up because it's a sore subject. you never know..

I think that she does, but if so, don't ask. I think that asking will just complicate the situation since you guys are friends.

 

That's one of the reasons why it's hard to be friends w/your ex's.
