This Little Lady
I've heard that when you are pregnant whatever you crave becomes your favourite food. Anyone know if this it true. I know my mom craved Italian Foods and I love my Italian foods! Link to comment
Dilly
Every food is my favorite food then. I don't ever see a menu where merely one item satisfies my cravings. Link to comment
sophie274
I don't think so - my mother I think craved all the weird things like pickles and ice cream. I'm more of a cheese, wine, meat with fine sauces and exotic fruit kind of girl! Maybe your mother just likes Italian - even when not pregnant - and that's what got passed onto you, either "genetically", or by imitation or exposure. Link to comment
This Little Lady
I hope not pickles with ice cream that would be fairly odd. I was just wondering because an old teacher of mine had said her son loved Mexican food and she thought it was funny because she craved it all throughout her pregnancy, she said it was the same for her daughter too. TornHeart
My mother craved foot long hot dogs and corn on the cob with TONS of diet Pepsi. I hate hot dogs, despise diet Pepsi and will tolerate corn on the cob. When I become pregnant lord only knows what I'll crave as I've grown into SUCH a finicky eater. Link to comment
BellaDonna
So far my biggest cravings have been for fruit- specifically peaches and strawberries. I have not had any strange cravings yet. If my child ends up loving fruit I will be happy. Link to comment
PittItaliano
My mother craved cabbage. Didn't matter how it was cook, she said she ate it multiple times a week during the end of her pregnancy. Cabbage is no where near my favorite food and no I'm not a picky eater. I love food! I just can't say that cabbage is high up on my list of favorites. Link to comment
This Little Lady
Could maybe salty to sweet ratio. A friend of mine just said her mom ate more sweets with her and more salty foods with her brother? Link to comment
