No longer on Birth Control........What now?!?!

I was on Depo for a year, then after Depo I was on the pill for a year. I am no longer on any birth control. I stopped taking the pill in December 2006. I have been bleeding since January. Recently, I have been bleeding during the day (light) and not at night. How long does it take to get back to a normal period. Also, is there anything I can do to stop the bleeding. I'd rather do it naturally, but it's starting to become irritating.

Some women spot for a while after being off of BCs and then there are other women who do not have their periods for months afterwards.

 

It depends on the individual and unfortunately, if you want to do it naturally, you will just have to be patient and wait it out.

 

If it really concerns you, you should see your doctor to make sure everything is okay.

You've been bleeding for 3 months straight. I would really suggest seeing a doctor.

Definitely see your dr., it's not normal to bleed nonstop for that long, especially since you are having excessive blood loss, leading to decreasing iron, and can result in anemia.
