dumper acting strange

what does it mean that my dumper act totally different when we meet at parties etc (where there are other people) than he does when we meet just the two of us??

 

when other people are around, he look extremely casual like he was totally over me UNTIL we start to talk. then he just look stupid, nervous and tense and can't show the slightest feeling.

He's probably more relaxed when there are others around because he doesn't have to worry about the topic of the relationship coming up? He might not know how to act around you now and doesn't know what to say - it's often awkward being around your ex right after a breakup.

Yes, it sounds like he doesn't want to be alone in a situation where you might ask him questions or talk about your breakup, or else maybe get emotional or angry. Lots of people really don't want anymore relationship 'talks' after they've decided they want it to be over... around other people, he knows you can't have those kinds of talks...

but when i'm alone with him he doesn't get nervous like that when we talk about relationshop stuff. it just feels like he needs to put on another personality (who is both cool, relaxed AND nervous/lookig scared) when we are around other people

Hahaha, I'm sorry, that made me laugh out loud lol. He thinks he has to put on a "brave face" around other people. Be "macho", act like he doesn't care. Thats what it sound like to me anyway, I could be totally wrong
