so lemme say first off im not going to go around trying to control any women or beat them or anything like that so we can skip that whole speach (although thank you for your concern).

my gf of just over a year likes to wear promiscuous shirts daily... nothing ridilulous, but enought to show off a good deal of cleavage (she does have a lot to show, i suppose). er long story short it makes me jealous. what should i do? does this perhaps indicate a lack of trust in our relationship?

Maybe she is lacking self esteem with other parts of her body and feels the need to make up for with showing so much cleavage..but if she has always dressed like this and it just makes guys stare, most girls like it when their guy gets a tad bit jealous, but do not take it over board and try to control her wardrobe

I thinks so... Maybe you do lack trust....

It shouldnt matter what she wears, I like showing cleveage it dont mean Its promiscuous or anything, it means I have a nice rack and I want to enjoy them!

I think guys should never interfer with what a girl wants to wear. Stop stressing about it.

my friend has HUGE assets... (plus the rest of the barbie figure!!)

She wears really low cut tops all the time... she actually had a man who works in the same building as her say "I wasnt to cover them in whipped cream and

"

She is very loyal to her finacee and she finds the attention she gets hilarious...

Nothing to worry about man... my best feature are my eyes, so I accentuate them... someone with nice legs will wear a short or tight skirt...

She's probably showing off her cleavage for you. And how is showing cleavage "premiscuous"? It's not like she's walking around half naked everywhere.

My girlfriend wears short skirts, low cut shirts, high healed boots, all that stuff. And I love it.

Learn to enjoy the way she dresses and you won't be jealous anymore.

I agree it's just a matter of taste. Personally I hate showing cleavage because I hate the look and the attention it gets, but husband actually encourages me to get the girls out . This is in marked difference to other men I've dated too - some guys never noticed.

Your jealousy, I'm afraid, is yours to deal with. I'm not sure there is a way for you to express your needs here without sounding controlling to her. I wouldn't risk it if I was you.

My bf likes it when I wear tiny shorts and fishnets...

to each their own!!

Has she always dressed like that?

I agree with Caro - don't bring it up. If you can't live with the way she dresses, then you might want to rethink your dating situation, but there is just no right way to bring this up, and it is controlling.

If she has quite large breasts, then likely most shirts are going to emphasize her assets, unless they are full coverage. Do you really think she is trying to attract attention? Why are you jealous? Ok, so another guy can see the tops of her boobs, but you are the one in a relationship with her. What other guys can see is just a fraction of what you have with her! See what I mean?

My sister's boyfriend used to complain about her clothes - short skirts, too much cleavage. By normal standards there was NOTHING wrong with the way she dressed... she in no way looked "promiscuous". It caused a huge rift between them. If you can live with it, I would not go there.

Um, I saw a woman in the store today wearing a burka. Full one..an almost hood to cover her face, hair, her whole body was just material. I thought about the religious thinking behind that....that hiding a womans beautiful hair, skin and body would somehow stop anyone from any impure thoughts...creepy. We all have free will. So does your girlfriend. She loves you and it doesnt matter who looks at her. She is yours. Hiding someone in a cage will do nothing but make them want to escape. Let her be her. Or risk losing her.

I was reading a book by an Iraqi woman yesterday. She was saying how much she liked wearing her "full coverage" outfit, because she felt a "sisterhood" with all the other women. They can see, but remain unseen and mysterious. Whereas the men all look "exposed". The only thing she regretted, however, was places where wearing the full cover wasn't a choice, but rather insisted upon. She thought women should make their own choice if they "are ready to wear" the burka.

It was an interesting perspective, I never thought of it that way.

Actually....this time of month I would LIKE a burka..to hide...and then men might think I am mysterious and sexy underneath..when in actuality I was hiding a quart of ben and jerry's and a bag of potato chips under there....along with a little water retention...
