rpare001
If any of you have looked in the "Breaking Up" section you will see that I'm recently single. I just want to get some opinions about meeting new people. What does everyone else here do? I really can't meet people at bars, while I love to go to bars with my friends, my hearing is slightly off so when theres really loud music in the background my conversations with women are something along the lines of "WHAT? WHAT? WHAT? IT WAS NICE MEETING YOU." Also I've only lived in the town that I'm in now for about 2 and a half months, and all the women I've dated in the past I've met through my good friends, who all live relatively far away now. I'm getting my masters degree and it seems like all the women I've met via my classes that I would like to date are already married or engaged as well. I think I'm just going to bide my time and see who I can meet through my new fledgling friendships as they form, I'm just curious to know what other people do. My dad says I should go meet women in the supermarket, because I can ask questions about cooking and stuff like that to start a conversation, which actually doesn't sound bad to me if I could get the courage to do that haha. But anyways, I'd just like to hear other people's experiences in meeting new people. Link to comment
Dating Coach
Try hobbies, such as co-ed volleyball, a gym, yoga class, etc. There are plenty of places to go. Link to comment
rpare001
ohh I like the volleyball idea, i love volleyball, me and my friends used to play it all the time when I was an undergrad, and I did meet alot of people through it, just playing pick up games on campus, although it was mostly guys, but still, its an avenue to meet new people Link to comment
