Can't... keep... up with them anymore

I am trying not to be a big party pooper because I'm pregnant. But I really feel like I just can't bother trying anymore. Maybe it has something to do with the last trimester, but I think I am just not in the same state of mind as them. I just get cranky when the music is too loud, people smell like second hand smoke, my friends are all drunk and not making any sense at all while I am stone cold sober, you know?

 

I know that my husband will settle down a little more when the baby comes. But unfortunately (I don't mean that) I already have the baby with me all the time so I am already in that new sort of lifestyle. The thing is, my friends aren't going to settle down. I think its going to be hard not to lose alot of our friends once our life changes.

 

This pregnancy has been the hardest thing I have ever done as far as emotional and physical drainage. I fear that the things I am going through will only increase once the baby is here. Or maybe, in a way it will be easier for me to cope because I will be so happy about our new addition? Did you guys lose your friends when you went through a lifestyle change? Was it difficult for you? How did you get through it?

for one thing, you look beautiful, even now with your pregnancy If your friends are true friends, then they will accept what you are going through and be happy for you. You can still go out with them in the future, right now it's time for your future family

You won't loose your friend ...but your outlook will change. Parties, barbaques, all that good stuff is about to go on the back burner. For awhile after the birth, you won't WANT to get backt to parties because you don't want to leave the baby. But as time goes by you will attend get-togethers again, and they will be sweeter because it will be precious Alone Time for yourself.
