SxcLady
Hey all. Im 13weeks pregnant now, and I think I can kinda feel it. Mostly during the night. Its hard to go to sleep and I usually wake up from something to do with my tummy because I wake up holding it or curled up and it feels sore. I went to the doctor and she says I shouldnt be able to feel it yet. Not for another few weeks. But I dont trust her after she said that. When my friend was pregnant she said that she could feel it in the 9th week...? So I just wanted to know ... When did YOU start feeling it? Thanks for reading ... Love SL. Hope75
Hi SL, Is this your first pregnancy? Typically first time moms begin to feel the baby 'fluttering' between 16-20 weeks, but moms who have had a baby before can sometimes feel it earlier. 13 weeks is pretty early, I wonder if you are feeling gas bubbles? What does it feel like? It shouldn't feel painful- not this early.
Mythical_Suicide
I started feeling little *flutters* and things like that at around 15 weeks, but I didnt know what it was up until I was around 20 weeks and started feeling them more and explained it to my doctor thinking it was gas he told me otherwise that it was the baby moving. It's very possible for it to be the baby moving this early but at the same time its also very likely it could just be gas bubbles they feel very similar at first. rocio
I could have sworn I started feeling daily movements at 12 weeks. But that's supposed to be way to early, so I don't know what to tell you. One thing for sure is that they shouldn't hurt. There are lots of other things that can cause pain and discomfort and cramps are normal at any time during the pregnancy. But the baby itself is way too small to cause discomfort at this point.
abazarni
14-15 weeks, they say you feel it sooner with the second child because you know what to expect.
SxcLady
oh k well. I dont know what im feeling and its not painful when I wake up. Im just always in one of those positions. I dont know. scarew
I was pretty sure I felt the baby moving at about 14 weeks. I could feel pressure and little vibrations and kicks in my uterus and down to my cervix. But it actually started feeling like an octopus was in my belly at probably... I'd say 18 weeks. Hayles
I felt those tiny little flutters about 13 weeks - at the time I let the first few pass without much excitement as I was still trying to work out if it was gas bubbles! hehe. But, as they got more distinct over the following weeks I realised - that's what they were!!! My distinct kick/punch whatever was felt at 16 weeks, during an ultrasound - even the radiographer couldn't believe it!! That was also the day I found out I was having a boy!
