Scared

do guys ever get scared and dump a girl they really love because they are afraid of commitment even though they talked about marrying you? Is this especially true for guys who are divorced and had a wife that treated them bad???? I am not excusing him because his marriage was hard but she did hit him and tell him he was worthless and stuff and was mentally abusive it seems cause she really has him screwed up now..however, i love him with all the heart I have and ALWAYS will.....

I know both from myself and from dating men who have been divorced, that it can be scary feeling that deeply for another person again. Now you would hope that he would respect you enough to tell you that straight out, but if he didn't give you another reason, that is probably why.

I had to be alone for a long time after my divorce before I was ready to feel emotions for someone again, and I'm still scared!
