Caldus
So I am seeing this girl (just casual) next week and I told her the movie would be a surprise. I am personally interested in The Astronaut Farmer, but it doesn't seem like a good date movie. The Abandoned seems alright, but still not a good idea IMO. I would be willing to see Ghost Rider, which may be a good one. So what do you guys think? Quote Link to comment
MrCrazy2u
Ghost Rider sucked, but I have a few female friends that liked it. Any scary movie is a good date movie Quote Link to comment
TheRedQueen
She may not like scary movies, I know I don't. They're scary!!!! Quote Link to comment
Caldus
I have the feeling she doesn't like them either. I'm looking for something that's hopefully a little funny, light, yet has a good plot to it. Quote Link to comment
TheRedQueen
There's that silly movie Reno 911, it might be fun watching a silly comedy? Then again I'm biased, I tend to love mockumentaries. Quote Link to comment
Caldus
Well here are some of her favorite movies: Garden State V for Vendetta The Boondock Saints Love Actually Monty Python and the Holy Grail LOTR Trilogy Born Into Brothels So maybe that will help? Heh. Quote Link to comment
TheRedQueen
^ I like this girl. Hmm, what good movies are out.... Quote Link to comment
TheRedQueen
I know they've been out for a while, but how about Children of Men, or Pan's Labyrinth? Quote Link to comment
TheRedQueen
Or you can opt for a stupid typical date movie like, Music and Lyrics? Quote Link to comment
bigheart09
^That might be a good idea if she likes romantic comedies...I know I love Hugh Grant Quote Link to comment
Caldus
God no, not Music and Lyrics, hehe. That would be painful for me, maybe fine for her. But I want something that both of us can sit through, lol. Children of Men sounds awesome. Quote Link to comment
MrCrazy2u
I took a girl to see Music and Lyrics last week and she loves romance-comedies, but she wasn't a big fan of it Quote Link to comment
addictedblue
Music and Lyrics!! best date movie. Quote Link to comment
Cyberchick
If you having her over to your place and plan to watch a dvd/video, Edward Scizzirhands is a great first date movie. It's really sweet and cute. I agree with the person who posted Love Actually, another great one. Going out to a movie, Music and Lyrics is recommended. Borat is so funny, but if she's easily offendable, maybe not. Quote Link to comment
Caldus
So based on her favorite movie list, would she possibly like Music and Lyrics? It's just a real casual meet-up. I really shouldn't say it's a date in fact. Quote Link to comment
