I was in that situation with a co-worker for almost two years, and it was really hard to swallow my feelings. I doubt I'd have endured it if she wasn't a co-worker. Now if I came out and asked the other out, I would feel uncomfortable. If I found out another way (or a subtle way) that the other wasn't interested, then friendship is a possibility. Link to comment

Interesting. Yet, most of us have been in the position where we are in love with someone we can't have. It seems like the strength of the heads varies, you can only reason so much of your feelings away. Link to comment
